Shraddha takes a step towards independence

| Hospital
Shraddha, a 13-year-old girl from Maliya village in Mahuataluka of Bhavnagar District, was born with a serious neuro-muscular disorder. She used to walk on her toes, with both knees bent, and she always needed support.

On the recommendation of a neighbour in their village who was happy with the treatment he received at SRVC, the family travelled 800 kilometres to Dharampur for treatment.

After undergoing two surgeries and a total stay of three months in the Residential Unit of SRVC for specialised physiotherapy, Shraddha has started walking on her own for the first time in her life.
