Payal steps into her brand new life

| Hospital
Payal, an eight-year-old girl from Valsad, had a birth defect that prevented her from standing or walking on her own.Her parents worried about her. Who would care for her in their absence?

They brought her to
a Paediatric Orthopaedic Camp conducted by SRH, where an orthopaedic surgeon examined her and
referred her for surgery. Payal underwent two operations at SRH and extensive physiotherapy and supportive treatment at the
Viklang Centre, all free of cost.

Now Payal is less dependent on her parents. She travels to school in an auto rickshaw, just like the other kids.
