Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care enjoys Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2020.
This holiday season SRLC is supporting Women Empowerment by scaling two of its initiatives:
Mahila Gruh Udyog (MGU) is a women-led program where SRLC provides infrastructure, tools & networks to allow women to build & sell their handmade products. All revenue goes back into the program, ensuring self-sustainability.
SRLC’s Science College is a state-of-the-art institution in a small village in Gujarat that allows students to receive Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Botany and Mathematics.
29-year old Hemalatta never dreamed of earning her own income, let alone operating and managing her own business! However, with the training, skills, and self-confidence she obtained through MGU, Hemalatta was able to launch her own catering company that serves food to areas surrounding Dharampur.
Her employees are all trained by SRLC as well. Now, as a young and intelligent woman, she is redefining what it means to be an entrepreneur to her local, rural community. She is an outstanding role model for young girls, and for us as well!
Jhanvi Shrivastav's story is truly inspirational. A bright student with big dreams, Jhanvi pursued her Masters in Science at the SRLC Science College with the help of a scholarship received from the organization. She attributes her success to the values and confidence that the school imbibed in her. She is now an Assistant Professor at the Science College with an independent career and an empowered identity for herself! She is looking forward to sharing the love and care she received from the college with other students.
